Established in 1963, the St. Francis Neighborhood Center is the oldest community center in Baltimore. Located in Reservoir Hill, it aims to dismantle inequity by offering tailored education and social programs. The center provides after-school programs, internships, and senior activities, serving as a cornerstone for community development and empowerment in West Baltimore.

Whitelock Community Farm

940 Whitelock Street (Brookfield Ave), Baltimore, MD 21217

Founded in 2010, Whitelock Community Farm transformed a vacant lot into a thriving urban farm in the heart of Reservoir Hill. This resident-supported initiative grows over 30 varieties of vegetables and fruits, providing affordable, fresh produce to the community. Beyond farming, it serves as a model for urban revitalization, offering educational programs and fostering social equity through community-led agriculture.

German Park

2423 Linden Rd, Baltimore, MD 21217

German Park is a cherished green space in Reservoir Hill, named after Mr. German, a local baseball coach who led a neighborhood team. Established in 1979 on the site of a former asphalt company, the park was created in response to community concerns about safety and the need for recreational areas. Over the years, it has served as a vital gathering spot for residents, reflecting the neighborhood's commitment to creating safe and welcoming communal spaces.

Wilson House Bed & Breakfast

📍 2100 Mount Royal Terrace, Baltimore, MD 21217

Nestled in the heart of Reservoir Hill, the Wilson House Bed & Breakfast offers guests a unique blend of historical charm and modern comfort. This 40-room Victorian mansion, adorned with turrets and ornate woodwork, played a pivotal role in American political history. In 1912, it served as the backdrop for strategic meetings that led to Woodrow Wilson's presidential nomination. Today, the meticulously restored B&B features ten elegantly appointed guest rooms, antique furnishings, and gracious hosts who provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Its proximity to cultural landmarks like the Maryland Institute College of Art and Penn Station makes it an ideal retreat for travelers seeking both relaxation and a touch of history.

The Secret Garden

📍 Behind the 2000 block of Mount Royal Terrace, Baltimore, MD 21217

The Secret Garden is a hidden gem nestled in a quiet corner of Reservoir Hill. Invisible from any street, this pocket park is bordered by approximately 20 row houses. Since 1911, residents have lovingly maintained the space, planting flowers, pruning trees, and caring for the grass. It serves as a tranquil gathering spot for birthday parties, social games, and community events during the warmer months.

Lennox Street Community Garden

📍 728 Lennox Street, Baltimore, MD 21217
